<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthesizer capable of achieving a receiver having excellent reception performance by suppressing the generation of spurious caused by frequency control, and to provide the receiver using the same and an electronic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The synthesizer includes: a synthesizer section 16 for generating a local oscillation signal based on a reference oscillation signal output from an MEMS(microelectro-mechanical systems) resonator 14 to input the generated signal into a frequency converter 18; and a control section 7 for controlling the frequency of the local oscillation signal output from the synthesizer section 16.
