The lining (1) has a circular friction body (3) attached to a carrier part (4), where the friction body has a fiber material, binder and fillers with a friction surface (2) that is turned away from the carrier part. The friction body includes a set of recesses (5, 6) formed between the friction surface and the carrier part, where the set of recesses is arranged parallel to each other. The carrier part is made of sheet metal. The thickness (d) and/or a depth of the recesses depend on difference of a thermal expansion coefficient of the carrier part and the friction body.
