Insert wall anchor for a grab bar

A grab bar is attached to a wall with at least one anchor assembly. The anchor assembly can be removed and repeatedly used. The anchor assembly includes a vertical support beam, a flange arm assembly 34 having a base portion 42, and an arm portion 44. The assembly may include a spring or bar gripper sheet 38. The spring cooperates with the arm portion to hold it in place during installation. The base portion of the flange arm assembly has a flange 46 that fits against a wall surface 12 (figure 1) of the wall structure 14 (figure 1), and the arm portion is received within a slot 50 (figure 3) formed within the vertical support beam. The arm portion may be coupled to the support bar with a pin which enables the support bar to fold horizontally without decoupling. The assembly may be rotated after insertion to align the support bar vertically. The assembly may be clamped in position using a threaded insert 40 and fastener 60.
