PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a collision state, in which the radio channel is changed in a manner of chain reaction. SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus for conducting bidirectional communication with another information processing apparatus via a plurality of channels in a predetermined frequency band includes: a selecting portion for selecting an identifier from among a plurality of identifiers used for connection with the another information processing apparatus; a radio wave state monitoring portion for monitoring the radio wave state of the plurality of channels; and a channel-controlling portion for setting the channel, having a satisfactory radio wave state as the channel to be used in the bidirectional communication, based on the monitoring result of the radio wave state and changing the channel to be used in the bidirectional communication into another channel in a better radio wave state, when there is another channel in the better radio wave state than the set channel. When the channel is changed for the prescribed number of times, within a prescribed period, the bidirectional communication is performed by using the channel related to the selected identifier.
