摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify the state of a three-dimensional object present around a vehicle and to present an accurate distance to the three-dimensional object. SOLUTION: The vehicle peripheral image processor includes: a plurality of camera modules 12 for photographing the periphery of a vehicle; an image conversion part 23a for compositing coordinate transformed images for which images picked up by the respective camera modules 12 are projected on the ground and preparing bird's-eye view images; a three-dimensional object identifying part 23b for identifying the state of the three-dimensional object present around the vehicle, on the basis of the state of an object image over the boundary line of the coordinate transformed images included in the bird's-eye view images; a distance calculating part 23c for computing the distance from the vehicle to the three-dimensional object on the basis of the state of the three-dimensional object; and a display processing part 23d for displaying the bird's-eye view images processed, on the basis of the distance from the vehicle to the three-dimensional object.
