PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic exhibiting a stable gel-forming ability, and having further excellent touch of use. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic includes (a) 0.1-60 mass% of a block type alkylene oxide derivative represented by following formula (I): R<SP>1</SP>O-[(AO)<SB>l</SB>(EO)<SB>m</SB>(AO)<SB>n</SB>]-R<SP>2</SP>(wherein, AO is a 3-4C oxyalkylene group; EO is an oxyethylene group; l, m and n are each an average addition molar number of the oxyalkylene group and the oxyethylene group; 1≤m≤70; 1≤l+n≤70; the ratio of the oxyethylene group based on the sum total of the 3-4C oxyalkylene group and the oxyethylene group is 20-80 mass%; and R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each a 1-4C hydrocarbon group which may be same or different or a hydrogen atom, and more preferably R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each a 1-4C hydrocarbon group which may be same or different), (b) 0.1-99 mass% of a volatile hydrocarbon oil or/and a volatile silicone oil, (c) a silicone derivative, and (d) 0.1-10 mass% of water.
