<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headphone monitor through which a user can concentrate on hearing an optional input sound while hearing a plurality of input sounds by means of a headphone. <P>SOLUTION: When a plurality of sound signals are mixed and monitored by means of a headphone 3, a headphone monitor 1 does not perform out-of-head sound localization processing of a sound signal on a selected channel, but a delay circuit 19 outputs a signal by performing delay processing, and a convolutional filter 17 performs out-of-head sound localization processing of sound signals other than the selected sound signal. Consequently, only the selected sound signal can be localized in the head, other sound signals can be localized out of the head, the user can concentrate on monitoring the performance sound of a musical instrument, and the back performance sound source can be monitored as a natural sound not causing fatigue.
