PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping pin to be inserted into and held in an opening of a medical device. SOLUTION: The clamping pin includes a screw 5 having a longitudinal axis 100; a first clamping element 2 having a surface 23 inclined to the longitudinal axis 100 and providing a first part 24 of a clamping section 10; and a second clamping element having a surface 33 inclined to the longitudinal axis 100 and providing a second part 34 of the clamping section 10, and the clamping section 10 is complementary to the opening. The inclined surface 23 of the first clamping element 2 is in contact with the inclined surface 33 of the second clamping element. The screw 5 extends at least partly through the second clamping element and at least partly through the first clamping element 2, the screw 5 engages in one of the clamping elements 2, 3 such that the axial distance between the clamping pins and the diameter of the clamping section 10 that comes in contact with the surface of the opening will be changed upon actuation of the screw 5.
