#CMT# #/CMT# The device (10) has a rectangular housing (12) in which a to-be-cleaned fluid i.e. water, is supplied via a connection (14). A container i.e. drum (20), has a cylindrical filter medium (23) i.e. filter ceramic piece, and is arranged in the housing, where the fluid flows via the container. The filter medium has a lateral surface partially surrounded by a tubular protective unit (21). The protective unit is made of silicone and maintains laminar flow of the fluid via the filter medium. The filter medium is made of silicon carbide and/or aluminium oxide. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Filter device. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The lateral surface of the filter medium is partially surrounded by the tubular protective unit, thus increasing durability of the filter medium, and hence reducing maintenance rate of the device. The protective unit maintains laminar flow of the fluid via the filter medium, thus avoiding turbulence of the fluid, and hence increasing flow rate of the fluid.
