PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element that is driven by low voltage and has a high emission luminance and a long life. SOLUTION: The light-emitting element is provided with a pair of electrodes of which at least one is transparent or translucent, and a luminous layer arranged between the pair of electrodes. The luminous layer is constructed of phosphor compound particles in which the surface of the phosphor particles is covered with a hole transporting material, and conductive nano-particles are interposed in the interface of the luminous layer or one of the electrodes.
