The conveyor belt has a bearing roller frame and bearing rollers (7) for supporting a conveyor belt (2) and also has bypass or drive drum (4), over which the conveyor belt rotates continuously. The conveyor belt has a fault zone over a partial length, in which the conveyor belt thickness is modulated over a part of the width of the conveyor belt in relation to its nominal thickness. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a belt conveyor system; and (2) a method for monitoring condition of a conveyor belt with the operation of a belt conveyer system.
