The present invention provides stabilized malathion microcapsule formulations comprising an aqueous suspension of a malathion solution encapsulated within a polymeric shell material. The malathion solution comprises malathion and one or more solvents. Also disclosed is the use of such formulations for the control of insects and protection of crops against such insects.
