#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves positioning a bearing by immobilization of the bearing relative to an installation tool and by immobilization of the tool on bottom of a body (8) of a motor vehicle. The bearing is fixed on the bottom of the body, and the tool is withdrawn from the bottom of the body. The immobilization of the tool is realized by anchoring the tool on the bottom of the body in two anchoring points, where one of the points is obtained by cooperation of a retractable pin (27) of the tool and an opening (29) that is formed in a lateral edge of the bottom of the body. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for an installation tool for installing a bearing of a seat on bottom of a body of a motor vehicle. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for installing a bearing of a seat e.g. rear seat, on bottom of a body of a motor vehicle using an installation tool (claimed), for assembling the vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The bearing is immobilized relative to the tool that is immobilized on the bottom of the body of the motor vehicle by anchoring, so that the bearing is placed with respect to the bottom of the body in a stable manner, and does not move during fixation of the bearing, thus installing the bearing on the bottom of the body in an accurate and reproducible manner.
