A liquid crystal display device capable of improving power consumption and a driving method thereof are provided to realize a dot invert mode which is driven by a low voltage data signal. A plurality of gate lines(G1~Gn) intersects with a plurality of data lines. A plurality of pixels is connected to the plurality of data lines and the plurality of gate lines. A plurality of pixels is arranged in a matrix type. The first and second auxiliary data lines(Ds1,Ds2) are positioned at one side of a substrate. The first and second auxiliary data lines intersect with a plurality of data lines. The first and second coupling capacitors are connected to the plurality of data lines. The first and second coupling capacitors are connected to the first and second auxiliary data lines by turn.
