A transmission method for physical hybrid repeat indicator channel signal in downlink pilot time slot includes the steps that a base station transmits the physical hybrid repeat indicator channel signal on one or more symbols in the downlink pilot time slot, and the locations of the orthogonal frequency multiplexing OFDM symbols on which the base station transmits the physical hybrid repeat indicator channel signal are different from the locations of the OFDM symbols on which the base station transmits the primary synchronization channel signal and the secondary synchronization channel signal in the downlink pilot time slot. The method solves the problem of the conflict of the physical hybrid repeat indicator channel signal with the synchronization channel signal in the downlink pilot time slot, and makes the delay of the physical hybrid repeat indicator channel signal transmission as possible as smaller, so makes the effect on other channels smaller and makes other channels processing easily.
