PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To additionally suppress the elution from a blood contact surface, to more prolong the development time of an antithrombotic effect and to increase the hydrophilicity of the bloodstream contact surface so as to facilitate priming by subjecting the composite of a quaternary ammonium salt and antithrombotic mucopolysaccharide applied on the bloodstream contact area to an irradiation treatment with UV rays. SOLUTION: The bloodstream contact medical member is formed by subjecting the composite of the quaternary ammonium salt and at least one kind of the antithrombotic mucopolysaccharide applied on the blood flow contact area to the irradiation treatment with the UV ray. As a result, the elution of the mucopolysaccharide from the bloodstream contact area is additionally suppressed and not only the development time of the antithrombotic effect may be more prolonged but the hydrophilicity of the bloodstream contact area may be achieved. The success in the additional suppression of the elution of the antithrombotic mucopolysacharide and the additional prolonging of the development time of the antithrombotic effect is estimated to be resulted from the formation of the crosslinking bonding between the complex and the base material and between the complexes and is estimated to be based on the introduction of the hydrophilic group to the bloodstream contact area by the UV irradiation. |
