PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily and surely transmit a mail informing of his or her safety, to his or her family or the like even during confusion immediately after the occurrence of an earthquake. SOLUTION: Telephone equipment 1 and 2 for transmitting a predesignated mail to a specific destination includes: a communication control part 15 for receiving an emergency disaster news flash through the Internet 4; an operation-display part 12 for designating a destination address in order to transmit the predesignated mail to the specific destination; an operation-display part 22 for indicating transmission of the mail; and a control part 11 for performing control so as to transmit a safety confirmation mail for informing the predesignated specific destination of user's safety at the time of the occurrence of disasters, in response to execution of a specific operation within a certain time after reception of the emergency disaster news flash.
