<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal television receiver which displays a picture with the most suitable picture quality according to the height of a display surface, namely, a viewer's sight line. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal television receiver includes: a detection means 9 including a distance measuring means 5 for measuring a distance from a prescribed position of the liquid crystal television receiver to a floor surface at an angle to a perpendicular direction and a height calculation means 6 for calculating the height from the floor surface to the display surface on the basis of the measurement result of the distance measuring means 5 and the angle; and a control means 7 for switching the picture quality in accordance with the height. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
