PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incense burner for offering incense, allowing a user to easily know where a stick of incense is to be set up in a housing part for the occasion. SOLUTION: The incense burner for offering incense before the tablet of the deceased or in front of a tomb is provided with a burner main body 1 having the housing part 1a to be filled with ash for the stick of incense 4 to be set up by a predetermined volume, an edge 2 formed into a ring on the periphery of the housing part 1a and expanding outward from the main body 1 and a pair of mark members 3 disposed in the edge 2 of positions lying on a line through the center of the part 1a respectively and consisting of marks for marking where the stick 4 is to be set up in the housing part 1a.
