PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antigen diluent or a buffer liquid for antigens, particularly, HCV recombinant antigens. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an antigen diluent or buffer liquid for antigens, particularly, HCV recombinant antigens, including a reducing agent such as dithotheitol, thioglycerol or mercaptoethanol. The antigen diluent or buffer liquid serves as a stabilizing buffer liquid for the antigens, preferably including DDT with a concentration of approx. 1 mM to 200 mM. Furthermore, the antigen diluent or buffer liquid may include a buffer agent (for example, sodium phosphate or sodium borate).
