The system (1) has a rotary catch (2) locked at a closed condition of a vehicle door by a ratchet (4). An actuation unit (5) e.g. opening cam (5.1) and guide rail (5.2), actuates the ratchet during an opening process such that opening stroke of the ratchet is limited, and opening speed of the ratchet is presettable. An electric motor or a mechanical device is provided for driving the actuation unit, and the ratchet is rotated by a ratchet bearing (4.1). The ratchet is fastened to a lock plate by a spring, which causes a spring force (Ff1) directed towards the rotary catch.
