PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate appropriate safe stock quantities considering arrival delay of commercial products. SOLUTION: This system 1 for calculating safe stock quantities stores actual arrival quantity of commercial produces relative to quantity scheduled for arrival with respect to each day; calculates a differential value between the quantity scheduled for arrival and the actual arrival quantity as a first differential value with respect to each day within an evaluation period; executes a process with respect to each day within the evaluation period to calculate a value by accumulating the first differential values for procurement days as a first cumulative difference; calculates an average value of the first cumulative differences for the respective days within the evaluation period and a standard deviation value; and calculates the safe stock quantities of the commercial products with respect to the arrival delay by using the calculated average value of the first cumulative differences and the standard deviation value.
