PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding machine allowing the shortening of a cycle time for grinding a workpiece, and a method for supplying the workpiece in the grinding machine. SOLUTION: This grinding machine 100 is provided with two rolls 151 and 152 for rotating the workpiece W supplied to a machining position S1 between the rolls, a supply chute 155 for storing a plurality of workpieces and supplying the stored workpieces one by one, a shoe 153 for guiding the workpiece W supplied to a supply position S2 of an upper surface 153b from the supply chute up to the machining position along the upper surface, and a pressing member 154 for moving the workpiece W supplied to the supply position of the upper surface of the shoe up to the machining position. The shoe abuts on the workpiece W moved up to the machining position at the tip 153a to hold the workpiece W at the machining position and has a first recessed part 153c for storing the workpiece W on the upper surface of the tip part side of the shoe from the supply position.
