PURPOSE: To provide an insecticidal composition that contains bialaphos as an active ingredient, is effective for combating insect pests parasitic to plants, houses and animals, particularly Lepidoptera, further Spodoptera and also effective for controlling insect pests resistant to pyrethroids. CONSTITUTION: This insecticidal composition contains, as an active ingredient, bialaphos (L-2-amino-4-[(hydroxy)(methyl)phosphinoyl]butyryl-L-alanine, known as a herbicide, preferably in a concentration of 0.01-20g/l, more preferably 0.1-10g/l, particularly 0.5-5g/l in a solution. Particularly, this composition contains 1-20g, preferably 2-6g of the active ingredient per 100 litters to control the insect pests parasitic to animals and plants. This active ingredient is combined with a pyrethroid ester to give a composition to which acaricidal activity is imparted. |
