<p>Disclosed is an instrument whereby an ophthalmic ointment can be easily applied to the eyelid by anyone. An ophthalmic ointment applicator (1) comprising a guide member (5) for guiding the ophthalmic ointment applicator (1) along the eyelid margin (10a) and a depressed part (6) which is formed so that a predetermined amount of an ophthalmic ointment (2) can be held therein. By moving the ophthalmic ointment applicator (1) in accordance with the guide member (5) while contacting the ophthalmic ointment (2) that is held in the depressed part (6) with eyelid (10), the ophthalmic ointment (2) is applied to the eyelid (10). The depressed part (6) has such a shape that the excessive ophthalmic ointment (2) is pushed out from the depressed part (6) as the ophthalmic ointment applicator (1) is moved in accordance with the guide member (5).</p> |
