<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device configured to prevent dew condensation on a separating member for separating a recording medium with the developer image fixed thereon from the surface of a fixing member, even when printing just after the power source is turned on, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: When fixing the developer image on the recording medium, water vapor generated from the recording medium passes through an opening formed by a resin member and a metal member that constitute the separating member, thereby the water vapor does not stay around the separating member. Thus, the dew condensation on the separating member is prevented, and water drops never stick to the recording medium upon discharging the recording medium. Further, the image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device provides the recording medium with the developer image formed thereon, and free from wrinkles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
