PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting idling speed, reducing fuel consumed by an engine during idling and improving fuel economy of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In this method for adjusting idling speed, idling speed of an engine 15 is adjusted by a vehicular power source device provided with an on-vehicle battery 4 charging power generated by an on-vehicle generator 1 interlocking with the engine 15 and supplying a plurality of loads 8, 9, 10, , with power from the on-vehicle battery 4 and the on-vehicle generator 1. Relations between load current values flowing in the loads 8, 9, and a revolution speed of the engine 15 while the engine 15 is in idling, are determined beforehand. When it is determined that the engine 15 is in idling, load current values flowing in the loads 8, 9, , are determined, and a revolution speed of the engine 15 according to the relations based on determined load current values is set.
