The flat tube (R2) has two chambers designed for receiving fluid. Wide walls and narrow walls are connected with each other and are formed outside profiles. A bar is formed with deformed sections (7.1-7.3) of an inner section of a metal strip and is directly, adjacently arranged between chamber walls, which from a part of wide walls. The bar with edge portions (8, 9) is partially formed as a part of side sections of the metal strip, where the side sections are laterally arranged at the inner section. An independent claim is also included for a heat exchanger for exchanging heat between a fluid e.g. exhaust gas and/or supercharged air, and another fluid such as coolant.
