IMPROVED LYCOPENE PRODUCTION METHOD BY FERMENTATION OF ONE STRANE OF BLAKESLEA TRISPORA SELECTED FROM FORMULATION AND COMPOSITION OR USE OF THE RESULTANT LYCOPENE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that can attain higher level of lycopene production than that of the present one.

SOLUTION: The invention is a fermentation method with a selected strain from B. trispora. The methods for the separation, the purification and the preparation can be applicable to optional natural origins of lycopene, particularly liquid cultures of mucoral fungi such as Blakeslea, Choanephora, Phycomyces or Mucor. The extraction method enables the increase of the simplification of the recovery process and enables the increase of the product purity. Since the preparation method can directly be used for stabilized lycopene preparations in the food and pharmacutical field, thereby highly added value can be obtained.
