WEAVING METHOD AND LOOM FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS METHOD

The invention relates to an improved weaving method and to a loom for implementing this method. This loom comprises: a weaving zone (18) into which weft yarns in at least an upper channel and a lower channel are inserted, each of these weft yarns being inserted between at least two warp yarns by at least one weft insertion element; first means for dealing with one of these channels and determining the position of the warp yarns relative to said weft yarn; and second means for inserting at least one binding yarn (16) above, between and below these channels. According to the invention, the loom includes at least one element for gripping said at least one binding yarn (16) and means for moving said at least one gripping element out of and into the weaving zone (18) so as to place said at least one gripping element in contact with said at least one binding yarn (16) and to draw said at least one binding yarn (16).
