An expense calculating device (100) comprises a destination point information input unit (101), a number-of-people information input unit (102), a retrieval unit (103), a calculation unit (104), and an output unit (105). The destination point information input unit (101) receives destination point information on a destination point. The number-of-people information input unit (102) receives number-of-people information on the number of people which move to the destination point. The retrieval unit (103) retrieves a route to the destination point according to the destination point information. The calculation unit (104) calculates the total expense necessary for the people to move to the destination point according to the route retrieved by the retrieval unit (103) and the number-of-people information. The output unit (105) outputs expense information on the total expense calculated by the calculation unit (104).
