The method comprises preparing raw materials for product to be thermally treated so that the thermally treated product has a physical characteristic, burning the prepared raw material together with the heavy metal containing solid waste in a waste combustion plant so that it is directly contact with the heavy metal containing combustion ash, discharging the thermally treated product together with the combustion ash from the waste combustion plant, and separating the thermally treated product through processing of the heavy metal rich combustion ash. The method comprises preparing raw materials for product to be thermally treated so that the thermally treated product has a physical characteristic that is utilized as separation mark for the separation of thermally treated products from the combustion ash, burning the prepared raw material together with the heavy metal containing solid waste in a waste combustion plant so that it is directly contact with the heavy metal containing combustion ash, discharging the thermally treated product together with the combustion ash from the waste combustion plant, and separating the thermally treated product through processing of the heavy metal rich combustion ash. The solid heavy metal containing waste produces a combustion ash that consists of 250 mg/kg of impurities. The raw material consists of limestone, magnesite, dolomite, gypsum, glass, clay, sludge and hydroxide sludge from sewage cleaning, and chemically contaminated soil that is loaded with organic pollutants. The raw material is pelletized, is transferred with iron or with expansion agents, or is color marked with ultraviolet-active substances. An independent claim is included for a device for the production of thermally treated product by combustion of heavy metal containing solid waste. |
