PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve operation check of a slave intercom 10 including a slave receiver 13. SOLUTION: In an intercom system 1, a device control part 46 switches a slave intercom 10 to an off-hook state and transmits a test sound signal to the slave intercom 10, a slave set control part 17 amplifies the test sound signal to a level higher than that of speaking by a slave amplifier 16 and outputs the amplified signal to a slave loudspeaker 18 through a wire 12, the slave loudspeaker 18 discharges a test sound by a volume larger than that of speaking, a slave microphone 19 collects the test sound discharged from the slave loudspeaker 18 and returns the return test sound signal to a control device 40, and the device control part 46 determines whether the slave intercom 10 is normal or not based on the return test sound signal.
