PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus in which a lid slides on a case body forward and backward in such a manner that the contact of the lid with a holding piece is prevented when the lid is in an advancing position and a gap is formed between the lid and a rib when the lid is in a receding position. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a case body 1 in which an opening 11 for accommodating a battery 3 is formed: the lid 2 covering the opening 11, vertically movable on the case body 1 and slidable forward and backward; the holding piece 8 located inside the lid 2, movable forward and backward, and restricting an item accommodated in the opening 11 from projecting from the opening 11; and a rib 5 disposed inside the case body 1 and near the holding piece 8 such that its upper end is located higher than the upper end of the holding piece 8, thereby receiving the back face of the lid 2 in a closing position. A flank 20 is formed on the back of the lid 2 so as not to be located opposite to the upper end of the rib 5 when the lid 2 is in the advancing position and so as to be located opposite to the upper end of the rib 5 and form a gap between the rib 5 and itself when the lid 2 is in the receding position.
