摘要 <p>The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a composite insulator used both for supporting and for laying or pulling cables in a station and for manufacturing a variety of insulating chains destined for mounting, maintenance and repair works of medium voltage open-wire lines. According to the invention, in a first stage, the process consists in degreasing a rod made of polyester and glass-fibres, in cleaning the inner part of a fitting by blowing with compressed air and degreasing, which are then dried for 3 to 5 min, each of the ends of the rod are then fixed in a fitting, so as a distance of 1-4 mm to remain between said ends, the assembly being fixed on an adjusted device of a crimping machine provided with 8 clamping dies, wherein the crimping takes place at a pressure of up to 90 barr for 10-12 s, with an increase slope of 10 barr/s and then maintaining them in the polymer for 2-3 s, then the rod is degreased along its entire length and it is dried for 3-5 minutes, then applying a thin layer of primer and left again to dry at a temperature of 103-110A C for 10 ... 30 min, at a temperature of about 100A C, the assembly being positioned in a silicone rubber injection machine wherein the injection of the coat with grooves takes place up to for 15 minutes, by ensuring three automatic 1-second degassing and after removing the composite insulator, the insulator is blown with compressed air and dried by free cooling, followed by trimming the insulator only by strongly rubbing the edges of grooves and coating, the last step consisting in performing tests and checkings.</p>
