<p>Provided is a heat pump apparatus which can precisely detect a frosting state to an evaporator without being effected by variation of an indoor environment or that of the frequency of a compressor. An air conditioner or a water heater having the heat pump apparatus mounted thereon is also provided. The heat pump apparatus has a refrigerant circuit which has a compressor (3), an indoor heat exchanger (8) (condenser), an expansion valve (5), and an outdoor heat exchanger (6) (evaporator) connected in sequence. The heat pump apparatus comprises an evaporator refrigerant saturation temperature detection means (10) which detects the evaporation temperature (Te) in the outdoor heat exchanger (6), an evaporator suction air temperature detection means (11) which detects an evaporator suction air temperature (Ta) in the outdoor heat exchanger (6), a compressor frequency detection means (12) which detects a compressor frequency (f) of the compressor (3), and a frosting state detection means (103) which detects the frosting state to the outdoor heat exchanger (6). The frosting state detection means (103) detects degrading of heat exchanging performance due to frosting to the outdoor heat exchanger (6), on the basis of a feature value (T1) which is an operated value obtained by dividing the difference between the evaporator suction air temperature (Ta) and the evaporation temperature (Te) by the compressor frequency (f).</p> |
