PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording control apparatus for recording contents by controlling the number of contents to be recorded neither too much nor too little when a plurality of contents to be recorded are the same overlapped contents in copy-once recording. SOLUTION: Recording apparatuses 3A to 3C for recording a plurality of contents including images to be broadcasted are mutually connected via a network 2, and each recording apparatus 3I (I = A to C) comprises a recording reservation control device 6I for controlling recording including recording reservation and a recorder 5I for practically recording each content. Each recording reservation control device 6I determines whether a plurality of contents instructed to be recorded by a user are the same overlapped contents or not, and in the case of the same overlapped contents, determines whether the same contents are copy-once contents or not, and controls the number of contents to be practically recorded in the whole recorders 5A to 5C according to the determined result.
