The cleaning device for glass windows according to the present invention is constituted in such a way that the magnetic force formed between an indoor cleaning piece and an outdoor cleaning piece is set in a stepless fashion. In order to achieve this, a magnet plate provided in the indoor cleaning piece or outdoor cleaning piece has magnets arrayed in a rising-and-falling body formed with a cam projection, and is provided as a rising-and-falling structure in a magnet-housing part; the casing floor surface of the indoor cleaning piece or outdoor cleaning piece facing the magnet plate is provided with a cam bolt having a cam-interaction part corresponding to the cam projection; and the magnet plate rises or falls as it interacts with the cam-interaction part of the cam bolt through the cam projection, in accordance with the amount by which the cam bolt has been turned.
