PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a PDP which has secured reliability of airtightness of a sealing portion with a small load to environment, even if sealing is made with the end part of the side connected to the exhaust device of an exhaust pipe arranged facing downward by using a sealing member having non-leaded frit glass as a main component. SOLUTION: In the PDP 1, a front panel 2 and a back panel 10 are arranged opposed to each other, a discharge space is formed by sealing the surroundings of the front panel 2 and the back panel 10 by a first sealing member 21 and the discharge space is evacuated, and an exhaust pipe 22 to fill the discharge gas is sealed and jointed by a second sealing member 31 to at least one of the front panel 2 or the back panel 10. The composition of the second sealing member 31 contains: bismuth oxide 67-73 wt.%; zinc oxide 8-11 wt.%; boron oxide 4-6 wt.%; and the balance comprising a frit glass being cordierite.
