TENSION BALANCER OF TROLLEY WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring type tension balancer which permits expansion and contraction in a wide range while keeping tension of a trolley wire constant with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A spring 2 which is abutted to an upper end of a spring case 1 at one end and to a spring counter-base 3 at the other end and deformed by compression in a longitudinal direction is accommodated in the spring case 1 which is fixed to a support pole P. A rotation arm 6 is pivoted to a frame 5 which is fixed to the spring case 1 by a pivot 6a, connects a link rod 4 by a pivot 6b, connects a tension rod 7 which is connected to the trolley wire by a pivot 6b, and gives a rotational urging force by spring force so that tension may be given to the trolley wire. Change of length of a long arm section L2orthogonal to the trolley wire is set up so as to be nearly proportional to change of expansion and contraction of the spring 2 in tolerance of expansion and contraction of the trolley wire by making rotational displacement of a short arm part L1from the pivot 6a to 6b up and down sandwiching a horizontal direction, the length of the short arm section L1in the direction orthogonal to the spring 2 nearly constant, and rotational displacement of the long arm section L2from the pivot 6a to 6c sandwiching an upper tilt position.
