PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost pressure detector making its pressure sensitivity high in a wide range of total pressure detection area. SOLUTION: The pressure detector comprises: pressure receiving members 11A, 11B for receiving input pressures; a first pressure detecting means 12 and a second pressure detecting means 13 for detecting state changes in the pressure receiving members 11 responding to respective input pressures, and outputting pressure detection signals vs1×k1, vs2×k2 with different offset values and output ranges Rg1, Rg2 so as to correspond to the state changes; and an output selecting means 26 for determining a measurement value indicative of the detected pressure by selecting the pressure detection signal vs1×k1 or vs2×k2 which represents either the large or small pressure value having a detection error smaller than the other, from the pressure detection signal vs1×k1 of the first pressure detecting means 12 and the pressure detection signal vs2×k2 of the second pressure detecting means 13.
