Disclosed are a method and a device for controlling the scope to which a client can access content via metadata in an IPTV service. The invention is characterized in that the metadata server transmits metadata containing control information that defines the scope of rights allowing a client to access contents, and in that the client device on the user side uses control information extracted from the metadata so as to restrict content control operations according to user input. |
