The unit (10) has an inking unit (13) with a storage container (17) for a print substrate (15) to which ink zones adjusting elements (18) of the unit are attached to apply ink for ink zones of print pages on an inking unit roller (19). A dampening unit (14) includes a storage container (22) for damping medium to which covers (23) of the unit (14) are attached to apply the medium for the pages on a dampening unit roller (24). A number and width of the elements correspond to a number and width of the covers, so that the ink and the medium for the zones of each page are individually applied.
