A portable terminal is provided to obtain and reproduce a multi-viewpoint 3D image, easily without performing complicated calculation by comprising a depth camera capable of obtaining depth information. A portable terminal comprises a camera(100), a multi-viewpoint image generating unit(200) and an image synthesizing unit(400). The camera obtains 2D image data and depth information about a region from which a user desires to obtain image data. The multi-viewpoint image generating unit generates a plurality of viewpoint image data corresponding to different viewpoints by using the obtained 2D image data and depth information. The image synthesizing unit generates a multi-viewpoint 3D image by using the generated viewpoint image data.
