The invention relates to mining and enrichment industry and can be used for washing and dehydration of grainy materials. At realization of hydraulic classification during supplying a flow of pulp the latter is formed in the form of separate independent expandable flows located at angle to each other. After completion of the process of classification the separate independent flows are united into a flow, which becomes narrow. A device for hydraulic classification contains an intake chamber, a chamber of separation, a chamber of precipitation, a chamber of discharge and an overflow chamber. The chambers of separation and discharge are made in the form of a tetrahedral truncated chamfered pyramid each and are installed in such a way that they are connected by their bases with the chamber of precipitation, and by truncated apexes - with the receiving and overflow chambers respectively. In the case the flow internal area of the chamber of separation is divided into separate sections by vertical partitions. The invention provides for equalization of the speed of motion of pulp throughout entire section of flow, which makes it possible to carry out the more uniform precipitation of grainy material and due to this to improve the quality of classification. In the case the possibility of decrease of size of the hydraulic classifier and reduction of metal content of the device is achieved. |
