PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical/horizontal dual-purpose frame having superior aesthetic appearance and supporting strength. SOLUTION: This frame includes a frame body 1 and a back plate 2. The frame body 1 has a grooved shape having an outer circumferential wall 4 and an inner support part 5, and an intermediate rib 15 is formed on its inside. A decoration body A is positioned by the intermediate rib 15. An engagement part 19 is formed outward of the intermediate rib 15, while the back plate 2 is formed with locking sides 22 and 23 for clampingly retaining the locking part 19. A stand piece 6 for vertical placement is extended in the vertical direction relative to the installation surface and its raised state is retained by a retaining piece 7. The stand piece 6 has a hinge part 27 extending vertically so as to secure high stability.
