PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material deflection preventing tool simply constructed to be easily placed on an overlapped portion between roof materials without using a fastener such as a nail for improving the drainage of rain water residing on the lower parts of the roof materials. SOLUTION: The roof material deflection preventing tool 1 is inserted into the overlapped portion between upper and lower roof materials 6 for preventing the warp of the roof materials 6. It comprises an insertion portion 2 to be inserted into the overlapped portion of the upper and lower roof materials 6a, 6b and having a plurality of through-holes 2a passing from the lower end and to the upper end, a protruded portion 3 to be protruded from the insertion portion 2 onto the surface of the lower roof material 6b, and a hook portion 4 ranging from the insertion portion 2 to form a fitting portion 5 for fitting the upper roof material 6a between the insertion portion 2 and itself.
