PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversing device for a sheet printing machine and a sheet printing machine that can improve the accuracy of sheet reversing. SOLUTION: A reversing cylinder 38 has on an outer circumference a gripper 51 having a front finger 58 and a back finger 60 for gripping a trailing end of a printing sheet S. The gripper 51 can be turned on finger shafts 54 and 55 by a finger drive 52 to reverse the printing sheet S. The finger drive 52 includes a first link mechanism 61 capable of turning a cam input shaft 65 as a cam follower 64 is actuated by a rotary cam 63, and a second link mechanism 62 capable of turning the gripper 51 as the cam input shaft 65 is turned. The second link mechanism 62 includes at least four coupling links 74, 76, 78 and 79 for coupling the cam input shaft 65 to the finger shafts 54 and 55, and a guide mechanism 81 for guiding a coupling shaft 77 for one of the coupling links 74, 76, 78 and 79.
