PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT system which suppresses unnecessary X rays exposure to a subject and can irradiate it with a proper dose of X rays. SOLUTION: In the X-ray CT system possessing an X-ray source 12, a detector 13, a scanner 11 which carries these, a high voltage generator 22, a host computer 20, an image processing apparatus 24, and a display device 25, etc., an operation means 21 which establishes the scanning condition of the apparatus, a scanogram analysis means 26, which analyzes the scanogram image data of the subject 15 and forms three-dimensional permeation length model of the subject, a tube current establishment means 23, which automatically establishes the transition pattern of a line tube electric current (hereafter called a tube electric current) corresponding to the photographed part of the subject 15 from the permeation length model and scanning condition of the subject, and a dose calculation means, which calculates a dose irradiating the subject 15 from the transition pattern of the tube electric current and displays calculation results on the display device 25, are provided.
