PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method of a water jet machining device, in which dry abrasive particles do not scatter through a workpiece carrying in/out opening even if a lid for opening/closing a workpiece carrying in/out opening of a device housing is opened on the day after the day of water jet machining operation. SOLUTION: The treatment method of a water jet machining device includes a device housing 1 equipped with a lid 1e for opening/closing a workpiece carrying in/out opening 1d, a workpiece holding means 6 which is arranged in the device housing to hold a workpiece, a machining water jetting means 71 for jetting machining water mixed with abrasive particles to the workpiece held by the workpiece holding means, and a moving means which performs relative movement of the machining water jetting means and the workpiece holding means. After completion of water jet machining, the lid is opened and a fixing maintenance agent 200 is sprinkled to the device housing for keeping fixing of abrasive particles scattered when water jet machining through the workpiece carryings in/out opening, and then the lid is closed.
